Hamas openly and brutally advocates for the complete annihilation of Israel and for indiscriminately killing Jewish people.
“Israel is a country that has no place on our land,” Ghazi Hamad [a Hamas official] said in an interview with Lebanese TV channel LBC on October 24, which was translated and published by the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI). “We must remove it because it constitutes a security, military and political catastrophe to the Arab and Islamic nation. We are not ashamed to say this.” In the interview, Hamad said that Israel’s existence is “illogical” and that it must be wiped off all “Palestinian lands,” a term the terror group uses to mean the West Bank, Gaza and Israel, minus the Golan Heights. When asked whether this meant the complete annihilation of Israel, Hamad replied: “Yes, of course.” [Times of Israel, 11/1/23]
Hamas Political Bureau Member and former Minister of the Interior Fathi Hammad urged the people of Jerusalem to “cut off the heads of the Jews.” His remarks were made in a public address, which aired on Al-Aqsa TV (Hamas-Gaza) on May 7, 2021. Hammad demonstrated how they should “cut their heads off” from the artery. He added that a knife only costs five shekels, saying: “with those five shekels, you will humiliate the Jewish state.” Hammad continued to say that Jews have spread corruption and acted with arrogance, and their day or reckoning and moment of destruction have come. In September 2016, Hammad was designated as a terrorist by the U.S. State Department. [Middle East Media Research Institute, 5/7/21]
Hamas has vowed to conduct endless October 7-style massacres against Israelis in the future.
The leader of the Hamas terror group is warning that the Oct. 7 attacks on Israel were just a “dress rehearsal” for future attacks on Israel. Yahya Sinwar, who’s marked for death by Israel over his role in approving the attacks that killed 1,200 people, reportedly also called for “indiscriminate killing” in his statement. [The Messenger, 11/30/23]
“We must teach Israel a lesson, and we will do this again and again. The Al-Aqsa Flood [the term Hamas uses to describe the October 7th massacre] is just the first time, and there will be a second, a third, a fourth. Because we have the determination…to fight.” said Ghazi Hamad, a member of Hamas’s political bureau. [Jerusalem Post, 11/1/23]
Hamas conducted its terrorist attacks on October 7 with the full understanding and acceptance that Hamas was putting Palestinians’ lives at risk
[Hamas leader Ismail] Haniyah also said, according to Al-Arabiya: “Our great people wrote a legendary epic of steadfastness, and our mujahideen deepened the wounds in the enemy and presented an unprecedented model of heroism and redemption. We were able, with great pride, to confront the occupation, break its will, and thwart its plans . . . Martyrs are the price of freedom, liberation and independence.” [Jerusalem Post, 11/24/23]
Hamas meticulously planned and prepared for a massacre of Israeli civilians on a scale that was highly likely to provoke Israel’s government into sending troops into Gaza, analysts said. Indeed, Hamas leaders have publicly expressed a willingness to accept heavy losses — potentially including the deaths of many Gazan civilians living under Hamas rule. “Will we have to pay a price? Yes, and we are ready to pay it,” Ghazi Hamad, a member of the Hamas politburo, told Beirut’s LCBI television in an interview aired on Oct. 24. “We are called a nation of martyrs, and we are proud to sacrifice martyrs.”[Washington Post, 11/12/23]
